Jim Questions Brown-Waite's Priorities

Unemployment Hits 14% in Brown-Waite’s Home County While She Obsesses over Nobel Peace Prize Procedure

Piccillo: “Clearly Washington has ruined Ginny Brown-Waite.  Only a career politician would put a debate about the Nobel Peace prize above creating jobs for her home county.”

Jim Piccillo, the fiscally responsible Democrat running for Florida’s 5th congressional district, questions Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite’s priorities in Congress.

“Congresswoman Brown-Waite is from a county that has seen unemployment rise 4% in the last 12 months bringing Hernando County’s unemployment to 14%.  The 5th District currently has over 12% unemployment and rising.  She continues to obsess over an arcane Constitutional provision about an American President accepting the Nobel Peace prize. That’s why so many voters are infuriated with her!  While people continue to lose their jobs, homes and health care, why in the world would Ginny Browne-Waite spend a single minute debating the legality of an American President accepting the Nobel Peace Prize?  She should get to work on creating jobs for our district.  Clearly Washington has ruined Ginny Browne-Waite. Only a career politician would put a debate about the Nobel Peace prize above creating jobs for her home county,” said Piccillo.

Piccillo is a US Army Veteran, small business consultant and former Republican who supports protecting America’s gun rights.  He entered this race to hold Ginny Brown-Waite accountable for her reckless priorities in Congress.  Piccillo, who believes in fiscal responsibility, wants to grow renewable energy production within his district.

“Our congresswoman talks a good game at election time, but she’s AWOL on the issues that matter most, like creating new jobs and getting Florida back on track towards prosperity and common-sense.  Her obsession with the Nobel Peace prize illustrates this perfectly,” concluded Piccillo.
